Earlier today, Eimskip newbuilding "Dettifoss" was delivered to its owners. At the same time, the vessel was registered in the Faroe Islands International Ship Register.
The 26.169 GT container vessel was built in the Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard in China, and later this year, the shipyard will deliver another newbuilding to Eimskip: Brúarfoss.
The new ships will each hold up to 2,150 containers, are 180 metres long and 31 metres wide. Brúarfoss will also be registered in FAS.
