The shipping company Erik Thun AB has had a new cargo vessel built for its dry cargo fleet. KOLLAND was delivered to the company at the end of September and received the Faroese flag on its stern this week.
The company now operates 16 dry cargo vessels and 21 tankers – 10 of which are registered in FAS.
We are pleased that such a well-established shipping company as Thun once again chooses to register its vessels in FAS. The addition of newbuildings to the fleet helps keep the average age of FAS vessels low and strengthens the Faroese registry.
Kolland was built at the Ferus Smit shipyard in the Netherlands and has a gross tonnage of 2,926 GT.
